Welcome to the WESIR Project website!
Well-being in school contributes to students' engagement, improves classroom learning, supports the achievement of educational goals, and can be an important source of positive youth development.
However, empirical research shows that the enjoyment of learning at school may decline significantly during adolescence and that alienation from school increases.In the WESIR project, which is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, we are therefore investigating the question of what contributes to well-being in school and how it can be systematically promoted.
